Chp.8

Billy jerked awake and was finally able to fall back asleep. In the morning he weighed in at 215 and felt hopeful that maybe his weight loss was slowing down. On Billy's ride to the train station he expected to see skeletons but actually thought that people were looking better then usual. With his mind finally at rest he didn't get on the scale for four days. That was until Billy was going to make an objection in court and his pants started to fall down as he stood. He told the judge that he had changed his mind. Billy held his pants up through the pockets in his jacket. He went to the bathroom to fix his belt. It was already on the furthest hole and Billy had to cut a new one. He realized that his weight loss process wasn't slowing down but speeding up. That night Billy stood on the scales unbelieving and looking for a long time. It said 195 pounds.
